Day Trip into Mergui Archipelago

Victoria Point (Kawthaung - Myanmar - Burma) about 300 km north of Phuket Town, is famous for Myanmars southern most border town. Situated on the mouth of Pakchan River with lush green hills and fishing boats and surrounded by beautiful islands within 3 hours boat ride, the place is a hidden treasure for adventure lovers.

Our tours starts at Victoria Point - fascinating, as is the town itself. It is the southern most part of Myanmar's land mass.
 

(A) Island Hopping Day Trip

Victoria Point or Kawthaung (Ko Soung / Kau Thong) in Myanmar is famous for being the southern most point of Myanmar’s land mass. It is a vibrant town with prolific fishing industry with very beautiful surrounding islands which were out of bound for the foreigners. Now TMC Limited operates tours to those island with its fleet of boats. Tours starts from Myoma Jetty in Victoria point and includes lunch and drinks. The tour include 3 islands each famous for pristine natural beauty, white sand, crystal clear water, village life and kayaking experience. Salone Island lies to the west of Victoria Point with its famous Pagoda on hill top. In 1998, a motor shell from smuggler boat landed on the Pagoda during in incursion with navy but failed to explode. The pagoda is renovated and a panoramic view of Victoria Point and surrounding island can be seen from top. In another island, you can see village life of fishermen and coconut planters.

There are 3 Day-trips available.

1. MDT-1 - Red Monkey - snorkeling, swimming, kayaking
2. MDT-2 - Horse Shoe - Snorkeling, Bird nest
3. MDT-3 - Ranong-Victoria Point-Salone Island-Plone Tone Tone- Kawthaung

Ranong
The highlight of the trip is Red Monkey or Myauk Ni with 110 meter hill. It is a serene view of crystal clear water and dense forest. You can enjoy kayaking, relaxing on the beach or snorkeling (kayak and snorkeling gear will be provided). On the way back, you will enjoy magical sun set before arriving back to Victoria point.

8:00 a.m Depart from Victoria Point – Myo Ma jetty and head for Salone Island.
8:40 a.m Arrive Salone Is. Climb steps to reach pagoda on hill top. Enjoy scenery. Go trekking down hill to another side of the island where the boat will be waiting. Relax on the beach. Observe Dolphin Farm (subject to Dolphin farm’s operations).
9:40 a.m Depart from Salone Island.
11:30 a.m Lunch will be served onboard. Head for Myauk Ni Island.
12:30 p.m Arrive Myauk Ni Island. Free and easy for your own enjoyment. Activities includes snorkeling, kayaking, trekking, and high tea on board.
3:30 Depart from Myauk Ni Island. Watch sun set onboard.
6:30 Arrive Myoma Jetty in Victoria point.

Tour details : MDT -2 (Horse Shoe - Snorkeling, Bird nest)

8:00 a.m Depart from Victoria Point – Myo Ma jetty and head for Salone Island.
8:40 a.m Arrive Salone Island. Climb steps to reach pagoda on hill top. Enjoy scenery. Go trekking down hill to another side of the island where the boat will be waiting. Relax on the beach. Observe Dolphin Farm (subject to Dolphin farm’s operations).
9:40 a.m Depart from Salone Island.
11:30 a.m Lunch will be served onboard. Head for Horse Shoe Island.
12:30 p.m Arrive Horse Shoe Island. Free and easy for your own enjoyment. Activities includes snorkeling, kayaking, trekking, and high tea onboard.
3:30 p.m Depart from Horse Shoe Island. Watch sun set onboard.
6:30 p.m Arrive Myoma Jetty in Victoria point.

Tour details : MDT -3 (Ranong-Victoria Point-Salone Island-Plone Tone Tone-Kawthaung- Ranong)

8:00 am Depart from Ranong (Make sure immigration checked out), check in immigration at Kawthaung, and proceed to Victoria Point by walking 200 m.
9:15 am Then come on our speed boat and proceed to Salone Island.
10:00 am Arrive at Salone Island.You can climb the stairs to the famous pagoda and enjoy the scenery.
11:45 am After coming back to jetty, proceed to Plone Tone Tone by car.
12:15 pm Arrive at Plone Tone Tone and enjoy food at Plone Tone Tone.
2:00 pm Depart from Plone Tone Tone.
5:15 pm Car will be waiting and proceed to Kawthaung Welcome Sign and View Point. Proceed to the market and then to Myoma Jetty. Those who are staying the night can go free and easy. Those who are going back to Ranong has to leave before 5:30 before immigration close.

Exclusive : Visa fees (30$ for 28 days),  Zone (Entrance) fees (MTT Fees 10$), Transfers to Myoma Jetty.

If you buy from Agent, Longtail boat for transport across to Kawthaung will be arranged by them. If you need hotel for the night, we can offer special rate for Kawthaung Motel.
